Tata Steel Will Not Quit From Chhattisgarh Project

As per the corporate sources, Tata steel will commence the project of Chhattisgarh soon. There is a mega plan to set up 20k crore steel plant in the region by the company. The Tata steel had signed an agreement with the state government as far as this matter is concerned. The Maoist violence in the region has been the root cause of delay in this prestigious project.

The company expressed keen interest in taking up a social audit process. This was told by some key spokes persons of the company. This social audit will detect the impact of the industrialization in that area on the local people. As per the statement of managing director of the Tata steel, HM nerurkar, project will not be stopped because of the naxalite problems. This statement has come as a signal that will boost the morale of the project. The chairman further added that the main point of worry is the safety and the security of the people.

The company management wants to get associated with the local communities because the management feels that the local support is necessary so that the project will be successfully accomplished. The chairman expressed hope that there will be no suffrage because of the Maoist disturbance in the region. The company has further added that the schedule caste and schedule tribes which account for 20 percent of the employees will be given training to enhance their skills. This will increase the standard of their living.
